The Metcalf residence is a perfect example of a Southwest style home. This home was completed in 2003 using a post-and-beam system with straw bale infill. The straw bale house construction was combined with a ground-source heat pump system and several Sola-Tubes and skylights to provide an extremely low monthly utility cost.

The interior walls were done in a plaster finish to match the fireplace. The master bath features a very large shower, the owner wanted to be able to stretch his arms out. We designed the guest bath around a colorful sink that the owner purchased in Mexico.
