The Riley residence was built on a site with expansive clay soil problems. The typical helical-pier system has a tendency to corrode with time. Thebeau Consulting pioneered a new foundation system for this, and another, home, allowing for construction on this expansive clay without the need for a deep foundation and associated longevity problems. Completed in 2004.
